When life gives you bed rest make it a craft night!

Ok so maybe I'm not bed ridden but I am supposed to be off my feet so with that said my sister-in-law Leah and my Mom Leann and I made the best of it. We spent the whole evening crafting up our lives. This is a picture of us quilting some blankets for our annual trip to Disneyland.

Leah is trying to be coy with her craftiness. While Leann is doing what she does best and guiding us :)
This is our abundance of beads. We made some lovely pieces to add to our collection. Thank you Ramsey's for introducing us to the trade.

This is a picture of Leah teaching me how to create Yo Yo's.

This is me "trying" to learn. I use that term loosely because it usually means I end up rocking back and forth mumbling to myself. Blondes aren't supposed to learn alot of stuff as we might implode. As Leah likes to put it.. "Some of us are just put on the earth to look pretty... And you happen to be one of them."
Leah and I are attempting our Blue Steal faces while wearing our new Yo Yo's we just created. I learn-ed ma I learn-ed!

All in All it was a fun filled night of many nights to come

Missy at 20 weeks plus!?!?

This is me and baby at 20 weeks... and some change. I am looking preggers now a days which is nice so people don't just think I like my hoho's and cheetohs. Everything is going great. I'm starting to be less sick without meds which is always a plus. I may work in the medical field but I hate taking meds.
So an interesting but scary thing happened on Monday. I was working a hard shift at the hospital (understaffed over busy) and by the end of the day baby decided to let me know I worked too hard. With that said I ended up calling my Dr. which then I was told to get off my feet for the next few days. My charge nurse then told me to go to the OB triage to make sure everything was ok. Its nice having a hospital at your disposal at work. Once I got to the OB triage I got right in and they did some ultrasounds. Thank goodness everything looked great and baby Palmer was kickin' like a champ. I guess I pushed myself harder than I should have. We did find out though that I am a week further along than expected.. Either that or my baby is on riods... I hope not.
Anyways don't worry everything is ok. I just need to learn I can't do everything. I have been "off" my feet for a full day now and I think I am slightly going crazier than I already was to begin with. Any of you that know me know I can't sit still. Thats probably why a lot of my posts look scatter brained. One more day and I'm going to go back to work again but this time a little more careful.

6 Women, a foreign State, and a wHoLe lotta crafts!

So this is kind of a late post considering this was last weekend but forgive me. I'd like to blame the delay on my craft overload! This past weekend I had to priviledge to travel to Utah with my sister-in-law Leah and my Mom Leann to meet up with my crafty talented cousins Wendy and Cari and my crafty talented aunt Rita. We've somewhat made it a tradition to meet up every summer like we used to do as kids. This is a picture of us in front of the distribution center.

My cousin Wendy introduced us to a new craft. BEADING!!! Yes I know we are a little behind but I choose what crafts I dare to take on because I am craftarded. Anyways, the Martineau girls plan on continuing this in Az.
This is My cousin Wendy on the Left, Cari in the Middle and you probably know the crazy women on the right me :) We are eating at Olive Garden. This has become a tradition throughout our many summers of growing up.

Here is a picture of my Aunt right from the left, Leah my sister-in-law and on the right my Nonnie aka Mom.
This was a fun trip ladies and I can't wait to do it again next year. Thank you for teaching me your crafting skills!!!

It's a baby......MoNkEy!

No Just kidding!

Well we started the day with me having a dream about the Dr. telling me I was having a boy no questions asked. Nolan had a similar dream about us having a boy as well. Then I woke up and headed to work since I'm going out of town for the rest of the week with some of my family. I then came home and picked up Nolan to go to the Dr. It took the Dr. forever to measure everything on the baby to make sure everything was how it was supposed to be. It was amazing to see how big the baby was and how acrobatic it was as well. Finally he asked us if we wanted to find out what we were having. I about died from waiting ( I'm not known for my patience) Anyways he told us to look and see if we can see anything and we did. He said there is no doubt its a boy! We are both thrilled.

I think we would be thrilled either way but now Nolan gets to teach someone to shoot a gun instead of having to buy another one to scare off all the boys. Plus I may be biased but I am glad that if we have a lil' girl she'll have a big brother to protect her like I did :) ( Thanks my overprotective brother, I love you!)

We are grateful for this lil' life that we are able to bring into our home and so happy for the blessings and happiness that he brought to us already and continues to bring.

To those who are trying to start a family now. If the Dr. ever tells you it can't happen, tell him/her to choke on rocks. (nicely) We are walking examples of a miracle and an answer to our prayers. And don't give up ;)

Happy 24th birthday to me!

I am officially in my mid 20's and it is a wonderful time! I cannot ask for more. I have a wonderful family with one lil' one on the way and great friends that are there for me always. I am constantly blessed with the people I am surrounded by.

I celebrated my birthday at work this year ( I guess its not a holiday to everyone else) but the last few days Nolan and I have celebrated my birthday and Nolans Family and I have celebrated and next week my family will celebrate it again. So I can't complain. :) (bad English I know don't tell my English teachers)

Thank you friends and family for making my birthday a happy one.
