Pregger girls night out

Saturday night my friend Shannon and I decided to make it a pregger girls night out. We started the evening by going to As you Wish and painting pottery. I painted a monkey for Baby Riley's Room and Shannon painted a cookie jar for her kitchen. We had lots of fun painting even though those art chairs aren't really made for pregnant women. After words we treated ourselves to some cold stone ice cream. Yes I do look like I am slightly sedated but it was a long night for me :) Riley likes to take all my energy. It was a fun filled evening and will have to happen again sometime soon. Hopefully before TBD Phillips arrives. :)

Ode to the Monkey Doodle

So this happened a while ago but I had to blog about it since it meant a lot to our family. Anyways a year ago we found this beautiful Min. Pin. Jack Russel and fell in love with her. She was the putty to fill our void. Well since day one I have had an allergic reaction to her fur but have ignored it because she is our family member. Ever since I became pregnant that reaction has worsened to the point where I wasn't even able to hold her anymore without getting hives. So with that said Nolan and Mines friend Cameron and Corynn expressed interested in getting a new member to their family. Needless to say Monkey fit right in to the Payne Family. So this blog is an Ode the Monkey our lil' energetic Doodle.

ODE TO THE DOODLE BUG MONKEY

1.We will miss the Monkey noises you make instead of barking ( Thus the name monkey)

2.We will miss your kisses at all time of the day.

3.We will miss your cuddleness ( I don't know if that is a word but just go with it)

4.We will miss your ability to be smarter than me most all of the time

5. We will miss your puppy eyes that make us melt

6. We will miss your willingness to forgive anyone

7. We will miss your playful attitude

8. We will miss your short fur that doesn't shed!!! What else can someone ask for in a dog!!!

9. We will miss you outsmarting Fudge even though she is ten times bigger than you. (their relationship was like Pinky and the Brain. Monkey being Brain and Fudge being Pinky.

10. And most of all we will miss you!

We couldn't ask for a better family to take in our lil' Monkey Doodle. We know you will take great care of her and love her as much as we do. PS Paynes we will have to do our fairwell party!

July 4th in Cali

Nolan and I were lucky enough to spend the fourth of July Holiday in Santa Barbara with his family. We met up with Jamie Sue ( Mom-in-law) and some of his siblings at a beach called La Capitan where his Grandparents and Uncle were staying. The trip was great fun even though the water was chilly because we all got to spend time together. Nothing like a family vacation! Here is a picture of Nolan and I and our niece Adilyn. She is the head in the sand. We barried her if you didn't guess.

Here is Nolan and I and the kids attempting a sand castle which ended up looking like a pile of sand at the end because we all got bored of it after about an hour of trying to make the biggest castle ever! I have ADD..... Whats your excuse?.?.?

Here's Nolan and I making smores at the campfire at night. Our nights usually consisted of Skunks overthrowing our campsite but it was still fun to run away from Peppy-la-pew. :)

All in all we enjoyed being able to have some family bonding with our siblings and extended family. Happy 4th of July everyone!!!
